Nord Resources Case Dismissed

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court entered a stipulated order approving the emergency motion of Christopher G. Linscott, a Court-appointed receiver for the assets of Nord Resources, to dismiss, modify stay, abstain or suspend the Chapter 11 proceeding as a "bad faith unauthorized filing." The order states, "The Bankruptcy case is dismissed and the State Court may consider the Receiver's Motion to Sell. This order is immediately effective without a stay pending appeal or otherwise." As previously reported, the Company filed a previous Chapter 11 petition on February 22, 2001, but that case was dismissed on April 26, 2001.
