Vitro America Plan Confirmed

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court entered an order confirming Vitro America’s First Amended Plan. This glass products’ manufacturer and marketer filed for Chapter 11 protection in April 2011, following the filing of an involuntary petition against the Company. At the time of its April 2011 bankruptcy, parent company Vitro, S.A.B. de C.V. was also operating under the protection of Chapter 15. In June 2011, American Glass Enterprises was named the winning bidder at a U.S. Bankruptcy Court auction for the U.S. assets of Vitro, S.A.B. de C.V, and the U.S. assets included in that auction were Vitro America (aka Vitro Asset) and the Super Sky Products units.
